Arguably Whistler's most anticipated annual event is a mix of arts and sports
events. As for sports, well, there's the World Backcountry Freeride Jam (ski
mountaineering championships), the Old Spice Snowboarding Classic, World Skiing
Invitational, a skate zone and bike trials.

Whistler Cup
April 10-12 2009
is an international ski event organized by the Whistler Ski Club and hosted by
Whistler-Blackcomb. Having completed its 16th year, Whistler Cup has grown to
become the largest and most important ski race in North America, and
internationally, for athletes aged 11 – 14 years. For many of our young Canadian
athletes, this is the first opportunity they have to meet and ski with the

Fire and Ice Show

It doesn’t get much hotter than this! Be amazed as firespinners and fireworks
light up the night sky, while skiers and snowboarders jump through the dazzling
Ring of Fire every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at the base of Whistler Mountain.

Whistler Blackcomb Lift Tickets - Fresh Tracks Breakfast
Fresh Tracks offers early birds a mountain-sized breakfast buffet and early
loading privileges. Upload to the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain between
7:30am and 8:30am. As soon as Whistler Patrol gives the okay on avalanche
clearance, you're free to hit the open runs on the upper half of the mountain.

The Pontiac Race Centre
is located on Cougar Milk on Blackcomb and is groomed and set up daily with a
dual Giant Slalom course.
The timed GS course is free unless previously booked for a private race. The
course is set on an intermediate slope and is open to skiers and
snowboarders of all ages. December 15, 2008 until April 26, 2009
