I spent two nights on my own and wish it had been longer. I chose the
Granville Island Hotel on the basis of a review from a woman who spent
several Christmases there on her own with a dog. I was touched by her

This is a very nice hotel in a wonderful central location in Vancouver.
They are pet-friendly and welcomed our rather large dog (for a fee of
$25 per night), even though it seemed that the other dogs that were
staying there were small. ..Granville
