The 237 guest rooms and suites have been refreshed with luxurious Marriott
Revive bedding, large 37" LCD TV's, new furniture, wireless internet access and
a unique Plug n' Play panel. Marriott's Plug n' Play panel allows travelers to
connect and use most electronic devices, including the ability to use the 37"
LCD TV as a display screen for laptops and other devices. The Plug n' Play
functionality also offers split screen viewing, so guests can work and watch TV
simultaneously.
This upscale Vancouver hotel has also renovated their lobby, concierge lounge
and fitness centre, adding new furniture with sleek designs and increasing the
space in all areas. The fitness centre is a must-have for many business
travelers and this hotel offers the latest equipment - including cardio machines
with built-in TV's.
For a business lunch or leisurely dinner, guests can dine at The American Grille
onsite or enjoy a cocktail at the Lotus Land Lounge. The American Grille proudly
achieved third and tenth place out of 334 North American Marriott hotels for
service and food quality, respectively. The American Grille, also newly
renovated, serves up sumptuous continental cuisine enhanced with regional
flavours and fresh ingredients.
"I'm absolutely thrilled about our renovations as our hotel and wonderful city
get ready to welcome the world during the upcoming Winter Olympics," says Dan
Woodburn, new General Manager at the Vancouver Airport Marriott. Mr. Woodburn
was appointed to the position of General Manager in November 2008, previously
holding the position of Director of Operations at the Renaissance Toronto Hotel
Downtown.
