Hampton Inn Vancouver Guest Recommendations

It is a great hotel that is really close to GM Place and BC Place. It is within walking distance of the downtown core as well.

The free breakfast was also impressive with a wide selection of items and plenty of tables.

The location is ideal if you are a hockey fan (as it is right next to the BC Place, the stadium), but not for shoppers even though it is on Robson Street it is several blocks from the main shopping area.

There were two computers available in the lobby and you must obtain an access code to use one at 30 minutes at a time.

The underground parking is the most secure I have found so far in downtown Vancouver. Room key to get in and security cameras.

They also have a guest laundry facility, which is very handy when you are on a long trip.

Great hotel - right next to the two stadiums downtown - BC Place and GM Place.

The location is fantastic - close to Yaletown, Gastown and the shopping area. We took a water taxi from Yaletown to Granville Island as well - it's very close, but it costs $4 each way.

The breakfast was great - definitely hotel food, but there are so many choices that you are bound to find something good to eat.

Nice Hotel Location at the end of Robson Street. Short walk to the stores, Gastown and Yaletown.

As for not as centrally located which really is not a problem for us. We've been to Vancouver multiple times and always look at downtown Vancouver like a San Francisco (walking town for us). We can walk from the east end to the west end (to the outskirt of Stanley Park) in half an hour - 45 minutes. Of course not counting time spent going in and out of all the wonderful shops on Robson. We've also walked to Yaletown by the False Creek in 15 minutes, same with going a little north to cover both Chinatown and Gastown.
