Reviews of the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel
The high-rise Pinnacle is between the West End and Coal Harbour, close to
Stanley Park, the waterfront, and the cruise-ship terminal. The rooms are
designed to maximize the light and the views. The rooms in general are fitted up
with all the things business travelers expect, the decor is clean and simple.
Bathrooms are fairly large and well designed with a tub and separate shower. The
location is great and within easy walking distance to shopping, the Vancouver
Convention Centre, Gastown and the Sky Train.

All things considered, the Pinnacle is a great hotel with an excellent location
for downtown Vancouver and close to Stanley Park (must see). Vancouver is an
expensive area, so be prepared to budget an extra 15-20% in your travel budget.
However, if you're a savvy researcher and plan trips like we do, you'll have a
great time without getting caught in the hype of the fashion and shopping
districts. There is A LOT to do!!! Have fun.

We had a lovely stay at the Marriott with helpful and friendly staff making the
stay all the much better.
Location is not bad for the new traveler to Vancouver, with a visit to Gastown
and North Van via the Sea Bus Terminal both in short walking distances. For
those shredders, the Sea Bus terminal is your first step to Cypress, Grouse
Mountain and Seymour skiing. There is also a fantastic walk along the sea front
on your doorstep. A longer walk will take you to Robson St. for those shoppers,
English Bay, Stanley Park etc… You might be better off catching the excellent
Sky Train if you don’t like the walk as its all uphill from the hotel.
Room was everything you would expect from the Marriott at this price range,
where we also requested a sea front view which was nice. Hotel bar was upscale
and reasonable priced for Downtown. As I have lived in Van before, we didn’t
really check out anything else in the hotel.
Overall a great stay with the typical Marriott luxuries.

We stayed at the Pinnacle for eight days and explored B.C. the best we could,
there just isn't enough time to completely enjoy this jewel of western Canada.
The Pinnacle is an excellent hotel with several amenities that you would expect.
The restaurant on the bottom floor (name escapes me) is very good and going
there instead of going out after a busy day is an excellent option.
The room was spacious, comfortable with Ethernet and quite nice with a great
view. If a great view (north) is important, make sure you request it in advance.
Parking is valet or you can do it yourself in the garage, either way it's easy.

I had a layover in Vancouver BC and my connecting flight home got cancelled for
several days due to the Holiday snow storms. Instead of fighting with the crowds
at the airport, I decided to camp out downtown.
The check-in staff was amazing. We told them that we were stranded and would be
in town for several days. They went above and beyond when it came to making my
stay comfortable. They helped with extending my stay everyday after my flights
were cancelled and even helped me find a rental car when I found out I wasn't
going to make it home for Christmas.
I was upgraded to a suite on the 23 level with a great view of the city and the
water. The room amenities, decor, and furniture were amazing. Plus a great
bathroom.
I plan on returning in the spring to enjoy more of Vancouver.

The view from our room was spectacular, overlooking the bay and mountains.
Everything was perfect. The concierge extremely helpful with reservations. Good
location, near Skytrain and bus terminals. Excellent bartending in hotel bar -
give it a try!

Typical downtown/center city Marriott with no disappointments. Only 5 minute
walk from SkyTrain Station direct to the combined AMTRAK/BUS Station, & soon go
to the Airport (thanks to the 2010 Olympics). Recently remodelled. Great
location.

We stayed at the Marriott Pinnacle , the night before our Alaska cruise.
It was a wonderful experience. The customer service from every single employee
was outstanding. This was the best experience we have ever had at any hotel.
We had a corner room that looked out over the pier. The bed was very comfortable
and the bedding luxurious. Although not a huge room, it was fine for the two of
us; It certainly was larger than our stateroom on the ship. There were very nice
toiletries including Neutrogena facial cleanser and moisturizer.

We paid for our stay mostly with Marriott Points so please take that into
account when reading this review. We were very pleased with the location and the
fact that our room was available when we arrived at lunchtime on the day of
check-in. Yes, the carpeting and the bathroom could use some updating as could
the TV and TV wardrobe but all that was trivial when it was compared to the
view. I can only imagine what the view was like before the office buildings
across the street went up but we were in room 1602 and had a full wall of
panoramic windows. Unbelievable. We could see the water and the mountains and
the beautiful blue sky. The bed was pretty comfortable and the linens were the
updated Marriott linens. Didn't eat at the restaurant so no comment there but
there are many coffee shops nearby and it is within easy walking distance to
several bus stops and the Sky Train. Overall, it was a good choice for our
Vancouver stay.

Beautiful
Stayed at the Marriott Pinnacle with my husband and teenage son. The room was
spacious and the bathroom was nice because of the separate bath and shower. Nice
touch having Bath and Body Works products, one of the desk clerks sent me up a
large quantity of the body lotions.
The Showcase restaurant very good staff bends over backward to help.
Vancouver is a lovely city to visit the people are fantastic, courteous and
helpful.
After day 10 of our stay to we upgrade to silver status and was moved to 25th
floor and ok extra 50 CAD well worth it as you have use of the concierge lounge,
were you can have your breakfast on 25th floor and was more cost effective than
eating in the restaurant downstairs, brilliant view of Coal Harbour and Stanley
Park every morning.
Good gym with steam room, swimming pool came with complementary fruit, water and
towels.
Checking out was at 12 noon, a desk clerk allowed us to stay in our room until
3.00pm as our flight was not until 8.15pm at no extra cost to us.
Will stay at this hotel again.
Brilliant!!!!

I took my girlfriend to the Marriott to propose to her. So I had emailed them
earlier to ask for a nice ocean view room, and anything extra for the special
weekend would be appreciated. Before the stay, I emailed the concierge several
times to get advise on restaurants and cruises to book. He was very helpful.
I booked a package with buffet breakfast and valet parking included ($299).
When we got there, they had upgraded us to an ocean view room. The front desk,
the concierge, customer service, valet parking and especially the waiter at
their restaurant during breakfast were very, very courteous and helpful.
My girlfriend and I were overjoyed with our stay and made the weekend extra
special.
After we got home, they even sent us a postcard thanking us for staying there.
This extra touch just raised our opinion of them.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Pinnacle and we have nothing but great
things to say about our time there. We were fortunate enough to be on the top
floor and the view was spectacular. The staff was very attentive and thoughtful,
from the doormen to the concierge and front desk to the cleaning staff, and they
do a great job with the little touches that make a big difference. The room was very comfortably appointed and clean. We were
also glad to find that the Hotel Location was very convenient (we were able to walk or
catch a bus just about everywhere we wanted to go). I would gladly stay at this
hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel prior to leaving from Vancouver on a cruise to Alaska.
When I made the reservation I mentioned that we were starting our honeymoon. Our
room had a great view of the Bay. Before we were in the room too long, they sent
us a good bottle of wine and some chocolate covered strawberries. We were very
pleased with everything about our stay at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a Rockies/cruise package. The
bedrooms were amazing, huge bed, so comfortable, we were on the 30th floor and
could see the waterfront and Stanley Park. The staff were so helpful and
efficient and friendly. We ate breakfast at the hotel and found it quite keenly
priced for a hotel of this type, a Canadian Breakfast which is like our full
English was 15 dollars, a wonderful Granola Parfait (granola layered with
yoghurt and fresh strawberries) was 7 dollars.
Vancouver is a great city, everyone so nice, don't think Canadians know how to be
rude!
