pro: bargain, location
con: no free internet in room, u get free internet in lobby though. no free
breakfast.
I stayed 8/2009 for a conference held at waterfront conference center. I got a
standard suite room for $100/night through
www.allure-hotels.com . Other hotels
like Fairmont and Pan Pacific cost around $250/night. Basically, for $100, it is
the best bang for buck hotel. Rooms are clean, roomy, and the location is
realistically 15 min walk from hotel room to front door of conference center.
1.5 blocks away is the sky train. across the street is a Thrifty car rental.
Main Hastings street bus stop is right in front of hotel.

Hotel is located a 5 min stroll from Gastown and the waterfront. Right where you
want to be. Staff were very helpful and friendly from the check in staff to the
lovely lady that cleaned our room. Room was good, separate bedroom which was
nice as there was three of us. A 5 min walk from the airporter bus link (despite
what the ladies at the airporter desk told me!!). Air Canada, WestJet, Northwest
check in terminal in the hotel lobby.

I was thoroughly impressed with the Delta Vancouver Suites. From the time we
pulled up to valet to the time we left, we received nothing but fantastic
customer service. My children were greeted with welcome gifts which entertained
them while I was able to check in and get us settled. The concierge was full of
great information and the room service was very tasty. But the thing I love the
most was the view. I had a corner room and the bedroom had two floor to ceiling
windows. It was awesome. I couldn't help but sleep with the windows open so I
could gaze out at the city lights. I would most certainly stay here again!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel for a week in
July and found it to be a wonderful experience. The room, (we had a Premier
Suite) while a bit sparse (there is not even a chair in the bedroom to put your
clothes on), was otherwise well furnished in a contemporary style with the most
comfortable kingsize bed we had ever slept on. It was elegant and well suited
for families because it had a separate sitting room with a sofa bed and mini
refrigerator. The hotel is ideally located so that you can easily walk to almost
anywhere in downtown and the staff and service is impeccable. The staff was
always available to offer advice on restaurants and things to do and was
amazingly responsive whenever we needed additional sheets, towels, etc. The
hotel also has an excellent fitness facility. I would highly recommend staying
at this hotel.

Stayed here for one night. Location is phenomenal as you are right downtown and
across from the Harbour Centre. Hotel was great; rooms were in great shape and
very clean, lobby and hotel in general were in great condition. Liked the
security feature of the room key swipe in order to access any floor via the
elevator. Staff was not very courteous and generally stuck up which does not
bode well for a traveler's experience. Overall though, I would stay at this
property again. Parking garage at $27/night is reasonably priced for a downtown
hotel...

My husband and I were traveling with our 10 month old son and were looking for a
hotel with suites so that our son could take his daytime naps in one room while
we relaxed in the other room. We settled on the Delta Suites and could not have
been more pleased. The hotel appears to cater to both business travelers and
families, and amazingly seems to manage this two-pronged positioning very
effectively. The reason for their success is surely due to their wonderful
staff. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (they even
gave our son an age-appropriate book and toy when we checked in) and eagerly
gave us recommendations for places to visit/dine/walk/etc. and then followed up
to hear about our experiences. The on-site restaurant had a delicious breakfast
and the chef even came to our table to offer to prepare a special meal for our
son, should he need anything. What a true gem in Vancouver! (And the location is
great too!)

Really, i was just looking for clean and quiet since I needed to visit Vancouver
on short notice. Booked through Allure Hotels, and the room cost around US$110
per night, so i didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised ant the size and
quality of the accommodations, and especially the attitude of the service staff.
The entrance is actually on an alley off Seymour, and is an easy walk to the Sky
Train, ferries, and Canadian Pacific terminal, where you can catch an airport
shuttle bus. Black top cabs await.
The room is actually a room and a half, two cubes bisected by a built-in storage
unit with a palsma TV on top that rotates to be visible from wherever you wish.
Local calls are $1.85, and Internet is $10 additional, unless you join the Delta
Privilege (free) and stay 5 times.
One of the bellmen, Rick, helped me to print my boarding pass and stored my bag
for a while after checkout. he made sure I got the right cab, and provided great
local knowledge on his own incentive.
You can pay two or three times more and not get a better hotel deal in
Vancouver. Enjoy!

We stayed in the hotel for 3 days and were very pleased about the size of the
room.
The location is perfect if you want to stroll around downtown.
The only negative thing is that you have to pay extra if you want to use WIFI
internet in the room.

I tagged along on my fiancée's business trip here and although the room was
already paid for, I would pay out of my own pocket to stay here again.
The reception staff and concierge were both helpful and friendly.
The room was great, a corner suite with the room split into two sub-rooms with a
sliding frosted-glass divide between the bedroom and lounge. The king bed was a
dream and could have slept forever in there but Vancouver is worth seeing ;-)
The breakfast was ok, but a little pricey for what you got. There's much better
deals on the harbour-front, most notably the Sunday brunch at The Lift - a
little pretentious but great food.
It's located 2 blocks from the Steam Works Pub which has great views of the
water-front and North Vancouver. It's a very picturesque 20minute walk along the
harbour-side, past Canada Place and over to Stanley Park. There's a bike rental
place where the sea-planes take off from (West Coast) and it's about $6 per hour
or $30 for 24hours, very reasonable & would recommend for cycling around Stanley
Park.
