films from over 70 countries. Our team of expert programmers screen
thousands of films and travel to some of the biggest festivals to bring
Vancouver the best of world cinema.
More than 150,000 people are expected to attend approximately 575
screenings of 350 films from more than 50 countries. The 2006 VIFF
lineup included 242 feature and mid-length films and 119 shorts.
Attendance at each of the last four VIFFs has exceeded 150,000
