More of a Family establishment, this hotel is located in Coquitlam near Lougheed Mall. Several amenities including an onsite Liquor store, it is a unique tropically themed hotel in the center of the atrium lobby, just minutes from the businesses, attractions, and restaurants of downtown Vancouver. Relax in the lushly landscaped indoor tropical courtyard, or take a dip in the heated pool.

We decided to spend the second half of our trip in Coquitlam as we are planning a move to Canada and wanted to check out the area. We wanted a hotel within easy reach of the Skytrain and public transport close to shops and residential areas. This hotel is 15-20 minutes walk from Lougheed Town Centre Skytrain and bus stations, and the Lougheed Mall.

The hotel itself is very smart with an atrium filled with plants around the pool and sauna. Our room was clean and functional and had clearly been recently refurbished.

There is free wi fi access in the rooms and there is also free internet access close to reception. Local calls from your room are complimentary, and the hotel also provides a free copy of the Vancouver Sun to your door each day.

The only drawback is that there are not a huge number of restaurants within walking distance, but we did eat at Rockwells in the hotel itself, and the White Spot is across the steet.

All in all, I would recommend this hotel as good for business/factfinding missions. But it is a great place from which to explore Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Port Coquitlam as well as the Fraser Valley.

I stayed here for four nights. I was sent to Coquitlam for work and decided to stay an extra night to make it into a small getaway. The first night I was alone and the second night my husband stayed for the rest of the stay.

We had a two bedroom suite, which was stocked with everything we needed. There was a grocery store next to the hotel so I was able to stock up the kitchen with everything I needed for breakfast, etc. The room was a typical Best Western 3 star, not luxury by any means but comfortable and very clean. The suite was huge and felt like a small apartment, which was nice!

The staff were all friendly and willing to help whenever I had questions. I went to the gym but everything seemed old and it felt like the heat was turned up in there so I never used it. The pool looked okay but was full of kids whenever I went past it so we didn't use that either.

The hotel considering the price it wasn't bad value for the money and was in a good location if you need to be in Coquitlam.

We have stayed here several times over the years as we have family in the area and have found this hotel to be consistent in it's service and room and hotel standards. It has a very nice ambience with the tropical theme and the kids have always loved the pool. Good location, close to everything in the Coquitlam area.
Both Restaurants on site sre good. Very busy area, but inside the hotel is like a little oasis, not on a grand level but enjoyable just the same.
